Profit from over 50 years of metal coating experience! We offer wire arc spraying, powder and wire flame spraying and now even High Velocity Oxygen-Fuel (HVOF).
History of the Bührer AG since 1964
2015
Commissioning of a plasma coating system for Ceramic coatings (APS)
2012
Purchase of a CNC lathe D 400 x 2’000mm
2010
Commissioning of a facility for HVOF coating
2009
Setting up a second blast room for pre-treatment prior to coatings
2007
BÜHRER AG invests in new High Velocity Oxygen-Fuel (HVOF) thermal spray technology to widen the spectrum of available coatings.
2006
We need to extend the workshop space and invest into a 4-axis Korradi CNC milling machine for parts up to 400 kg.
2004
We invest again in an additional ABB industrial robot with track. Rolls up to a diameter of 700mm and with a llength of 4500mm or a 1.5 x 4m area can evenly be coated. For even denser and reproducable coatings a new generation of electric arc spray equipment has been introduced.
2002
Moving into the larger premises to the Lauetstrasse in Otelfingen, where we work with the new OSU electric-arc spraying plant and an ABB 6-axis industrial robot.
The new webpage is online, BÜHRER AG is now 24h present.
2001
On 18 March Richard Buehrer, founder and board of directors president of the BÜHRER AG, died after short serious illness.
1999
Because of a short-circuit the whole workroom burned out. After only one month of intensive reorganization, coating work is possible again. We celebrate the reopening of the enterprise with our customers.
1994
Martin Buehrer takes over the management. The company name changed to BÜHRER AG.
1988
The private company was converted into a corporation.
1974
With the purchase of turning lathe and cylindrical-surface grinding machine now also the necessary finishing could be implemented.
1964
Richard Buehrer founded the company. Already in the first years not only the flame and powder spraying process was used, but also the new electric-arc coating process, characterised by a outstanding adhesion, a good cutting property and a 3 times higher strength.
